Gyan Yagna on Tulasi Ramayan by Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayanandaji (25 October- 02 November 2012)

Devotees of Durban reveled in the nectarine bliss of Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda’s awe-inspiring discourses on Tulasi Ramayan. Guruji delivered talks on the topic of “Ram Rajya” from Uttarkand, and also elaborated on “Purjan Geeta”- a portion of Sri Ramcharitmanas wherein Bhagwan Shri Ram addresses the citizens of Ayodhya on right conduct and the ideal life we must live inorder to endear ourselves to the Lord.The chief guest on this occasion was Durban’s city Mayor Mr. James Nxumalo, who generously lauded the work being done by Chinmaya Mission in South Africa, and thanked the Mission for being a key contributor in sustaining racial and religious harmony within the society. He also encouraged people to visit the new Chinmaya Shivam temple and participate in the various spiritual and social upliftment programs being conducted by Chinmaya Mission of South Africa.

Hundreds of inspired devotees attended Pujya Guruji’s Ramayansatsangseach day, and collected the gems of wisdom that Guruji graciously dispersed during his talks. He stressed that we are all very fortunate to be born as human beings, and blessed to have a great Guru in our lives, so we should really employ our body, mind and intellect in pursuing the ultimate goal of our life and attain self-realization through intense sadhana and meditation. That alone is the purpose of human birth. Eating, sleeping, procreating and dying are merely signs of existence, which even animals fulfill easily. As evolved human beings, we should strive hard to accomplish the real purpose of our lives. As part of listening to Satsangs, Guruji stressed on the importance of attentive reception, strong retention and deep reflection – else all the knowledge that we hear will not help us.Guruji said that when we put forth our sincere efforts, and the Lord’s grace complements our effort, then success if definitely assured.

During his two-day visit to Johannesburg, Pujya Guruji also delivered soulful discourses on Shri Hanuman Chalisa, soaking all listeners in the cool showers of pure devotion. Everyone was overjoyed in the divine presence of Pujya Guruji during his ten days stay in South Africa, and thanked him from the bottom of their hearts for making this trip a memorable and spiritually uplifting experience for all.
